Because of that and the lightweight design, it's by far the easiest Dutch oven to pick up, wash, and store.

handling about Strata tested it Which “Forever Nonstick” Pan Is the Best? I Tested Them All

Cites handle, weight

Strata's handle is the best design of the three. It's thicker and more substantial than Anolon, and it's flat on top with a slight groove so it won't rotate in your hand. I also like the round hanging loop instead of the usual oval.
When comparing the 10-inch pans, all three are under three pounds, so they're easy to maneuver, but Misen has the widest cooking surface and the lowest walls. The difference is minor.
Strata and Misen both weigh about 3 lb, while Anolon jumps to 4.3 lb.

Cites build quality, durability, reputation, weight

Every critical part, from the gear train to the outer housing, was engineered from metal, echoing the standards found in commercial bakeries and naval galleys.
Inside, the gear train was a study in over-engineering. Steel-on-steel contact, precision-machined tolerances, and a drive system modeled after industrial equipment.
These mixers were so robust that stories circulated of them surviving decades in bakery basements or riding out storms at sea on Navy ships.
The sheer weight alone, over 25 lb, spoke to the density of materials and the absence of cost-cutting.
still mixes weekly after three decades with only a fresh cord and a dab of grease.
Vintage owners share receipts from the 1980s and the 1990s, some machines logging 40 years of use without a major breakdown.
Modern mixers cycle through repairs, while their all-metal ancestors quietly outlast them.
For serious bakers, the legacy of Hobart built longevity lives on in vintage machines and select commercial alternatives.

It was also the quietest mixer at low, medium, and high speeds.
It did a great job with the whipped cream, but the cookies were disappointing.
The final cookie dough came out fine, but I wish the beater got closer to the walls of the bowl.
It did much better with the pizza dough. Unlike the Hamilton Beach, the dough hook grabbed the dough properly, the mixer was stable, and the head remained securely locked throughout the test.

this pan it desperately desperately needs a helper handle, which it does not have. So, the pan is already quite heavy, and if you got it full of water or liquid, that can weigh up to 5 kg, and it's very difficult to maneuver this with just one hand.

Le Creuset was the third worst-performing brand. Although I was not surprised by this since it's the thinnest and lightest.

Some brands, like Staub, have dimples inside their lids to encourage a self-basting process, but Le Creuset doesn't.
Since Le Creuset has a domed lid with a smooth interior, the evaporated water collected and ran down the sides of the lid rather than evenly dripping back over the food.

The sidewalls of the frying pans have too shallow of a slope. This design, plus the flared rims, makes it easy to slide food onto a plate but it also makes it easier to spill and splatter.

The rivets on the Made In pan I got years ago jet out further than most brands. It's hard to clean around the rivets so oil and food bits would often bake into the pan.
Still they don't offer flush rivets or rivetless options like several other brands.
If you're looking for lightweight pans, you'll be disappointed. Made In pans are built solid with thick heavy walls. The 12-inch fry pan weighs over three pounds.
I mentioned that I like the handle design but I need to call out the handle angle. Made In handles are almost even with the top of the pan. You can fit the pan in the oven with less space between racks but since the handle isn't angled upward like most, your hand is a little bit closer to the heat.
Also, there's a small space where the handle bends that's extremely difficult to clean unless you scrub it with a toothbrush.

Because of the extra layers in Atlantis pans, they are significantly thicker and heavier than Industry pans. Atlantis fry pans might be the thickest and heaviest pans I've ever reviewed. They feel more like a cast iron skillet than a stainless steel pan.

they could they could have made this a bit thicker or a bit bigger and given us a heavier body and a in a slightly less heavy or lighter lid so that i found that a little bit strange as well

Another common complaint is that it’s too heavy. Although the added thickness and weight contributes to its durability and heat retention, it also makes it difficult to maneuver. It’s not the best cookware for flipping eggs or shaking ingredients loose. Most people will have to use both hands to carry these pans.

You also want to avoid looped handles like this. While these look nice, they are not very functional because you can only fit a couple of fingers in them.
Don't buy a Dutch oven with small side handles or handles with a thin opening that doesn't comfortably fit your hand. And definitely don't buy one with handles that are just ledges with no opening.

if you look closely at the knobs you'll notice that stoves is smaller with a thinner stem La Crusade knobs are thicker and give you more to grab onto and squeeze
La crochet handles are much wider and roomier than stobe La Creuset handles have a 1.25 inch opening for you to get a sturdy grip the opening on stove handles is less than an inch
as you can see I can easily fit an oven mitt around the luxury handles you can fit your hands around the stob handles but it's much more snug
you can't see the bear cast iron at most angles but you can feel its rough texture when you pick up the Dutch ovens without gloves
stove dutch ovens are made with a noticeably thicker walls the top part of stobe's walls are 4.6 millimeters and la Creuset walls are 3.8 millimeters because of their thickness stove dutch ovens are heavier
for example this stove around 5.5 quart dutch oven weighs 12.8 pounds while this la Creuset 5.5 quart dutch oven weighs 11.5 pounds
