and we also have these incredible sponges from Heritage steel that are forever sponges they've replaced every sponge we have in our house they're freaking awesome I never thought I'd geek out about a sponge before but I absolutely love these sponges

I’m Chris Maas (aka Christopher Scott) and I help businesses punch above their weight with marketing that actually connects. After growing this as a food channel (Beergr), I realized what I really love is showing business owners how to stand out, tell better stories, and get results from their content and that has been my day job for the last 15 years. That’s what this channel is all about now. If you run a small business, work in marketing, video production or content creation or just want to get smarter about strategy, branding, and content creation...hit subscribe. Every week, I share real-world insights, tools, and ideas you can put to use immediately. Let’s cut through the noise and build something that matters.

I can honestly tell you that the first time my wife and I cooked on the Heritage steel pans there was a flavor component that we had been missing for the last 18 19 months while using hexclad the crust the my art effect the golden brown whatever you want to call it that we are getting out of these pans for our food is…
Cites ease of cleaning, flavour impact
and then if there are moments where you get some food stuck on your pan it h for us so far they have scraped off very easily just with a silicone spatula or with a wooden spoon
but for me I don't want to have to replace my pots and pans every 18 to 20 months because the non-stick coating is wearing off on them so I won't be using these anymore I'm going to be switching to like a stainless steel all clad type of pot and pan and I'm not really sure what brand to buy yet
so after all of that I have decided that hexclad pans are not right for me and therefore I don't recommend them on my channel anymore
look the first time I made some eggs in this fry pan I flipped them over and they were perfectly golden brown crusted which is the way I like them some people don't like a little crispiness on their eggs but that's the way I like mine and I mean compared to the hexclad ones no there is no comparison they were way…
Cites flavour impact, heat control
and they have replaced our knives without question for free twice and in fact on that second warranty claim they upgraded us to a better knife so I would say that they would honor honor their warranty

so after spending about 2 weeks researching and quite honestly going down a very steep Rabbit Hole the clear winner for us was Heritage steel
about a month ago I posted a video called called I can't recommend hexclad cookware anymore and in that video I mentioned how almost all of the claims made by hexclad were pretty much just marketing
spoiler yes hexclad will eventually fall apart on you whether you use it exactly how it's marketed or even if you baby it with a pair of white gloves
Cites coating durability (against), durability (against), scratch resistance (against)
you can make it last as long as you can don't use metal utensils on it even though they say you can and that it's safe it's not don't stick them in the dishwasher don't cook with them at high temperatures and you'll pretty much be fine if you can get three to five years out of them I'd say you're probably winning the…
don't use metal utensils on it even though they say you can and that it's safe it's not
that nonstick PTFE coating Teflon coating that they put on there will eventually wear off and the tricky part here is you don't actually notice when it starts starts to become unviable you may eventually notice that it peeled off or flaked off or chipped off or scratched off yes but PTFE or Teflon can start to degrade…
Onex Cloud's website and in their marketing they have all always touted that their pans are dishwasher safe and metal utensil safe metal utensil safe because the stainless steel is risen just slightly above their non-stick surface but we all know that if you put something in the dishwasher it is going to reduce the…

I did and it lasted about 20 months 18 to 20 months until my cookwar started to Chip and all of the non-stick coating started to come off of it so now that's not very long considering the price tag for the price that they charge for their cookware it should last a little bit more than 18 to 20 months using it how they…
and in fact the 8 in pan that I always use to cook my eggs in you can see here hopefully um it's missing this is where it's the non-stick coating really started to scrape off and right there my eggs stick there all the time and it's very hard to kind of avoid that section when you're cooking cooking eggs in an 8 in…

and I kind of forgot about it until about the beginning of this past November November 2023 when I noticed that my 8 in and the 10-in and the 12-in and even the walk in some places and we barely ever used the walk was actually missing the non-stick Coating in some pretty big large areas and the walk we very seldom…

this Pan the 12in has definitely food sticks to this more than it does the 10-in and I probably use the 10-in more
I once thought that this was a really great purchase so I kind of feel let down even though they did Supply new ones with their warranty uh but I don't want to have to go through the hassle of having to get new pots and pans every 18 months for a a pot and pan that they claim should last well they say cooking lifetime…
the transparency in their messaging in their marketing and on their website was so clear no marketing terms no crazy claims of what it can and can't do it's just this is good ass cookware okay and we think you'll like it like I like that messaging that's direct to the point and I appreciate that

I cleaned it with soap and water with that magical sponge this is like I said that was yesterday and then I used the stainless steel polish and cleanser in a soft metal sponge that we got from Heritage this pan looks just like it did before I ignited a fire on it and I was actually quite concerned I was like damn I'm…

if you're buying these for 100% nonstick you're going to be slight disappointed as America's Test Kitchen pointed out and I'll link to their videos in the description they do this honestly it's kind of a silly little test that they they call the egg test it's not really how to cook how you should cook an egg um most…

I've had issues of other things sticking to the Pan um so they're not super non-stick like some of those other pots and pans that are out on the market to me I think that's because of that stainless steel those peaks of stainless steel so stainless steel obviously isn't nonstick and that plays a plays a role in the…
obviously it does affect the performance because everything sticks to that section
it feels like sort of a scam that non-stick cookware manufacturers know they're selling a product with planned obsolescence and customers should have to Reby their pots and pans every couple of years Bingo buddy yeah 100% okay
Cites price (against)
but once the sponge starts to get a little nasty you can just throw it in the top wack of the dishwasher or in your washing machine and it'll come out pretty much brand new after that

it doesn't affect the performance of the pan and I can attest we use that pot quite a lot over the last year it performs just fine every single time we go to use it

to maximize corrosion resistance properties it's especially Adept at resisting salt pitting and you can avoid salt pitting by warming your water up first and then adding your salt to your pot if you're cooking spaghetti things like that but that metal is also good for resisting leeching and other types of corrosion

that's the misleading part and somewhat dangerous part of it all and when that happens cuz it's not an if it's a when when that happens

just be careful if you're using a metal metal utensil on your your your stainless steel stainless steel is actually kind of soft and it will scratch it's not going to affect the performance but just you know if you're going to use a whisk you might want to use a silicone whisk

the handles are even a little bit similar with the handles of the in having a little bit more of a taper inward towards the pan itself but the outward is not too wide for I mean I don't have huge hands this is easily held and grapped

I've been recommending hexclad pots and pans for almost the last 2 years on my channel I don't anymore now this isn't going to be a bash hexclad kind of video I actually think there a good company and they make a fairly decent product and I did enjoy my time with them until what we're about to discuss
I've only had it for a month right now but I've washed it three times so far and it's come out perfect every single time so we'll see how long that lasts
