In terms of actual cooking, it has slightly better non-stick properties than a typical stainless steel pan. But you still need to preheat the pan and add some oil or butter to prevent sticking. handling tested it I Tested Every Stainless Steel Fry Pan, These Are the Best & Worst

Cites ease of cleaning (against), handle (against)

On ProBond Forged, there's a gap between the handle and the rim that's tough to clean. On Luxe, that connection is tighter, so there's less of a gap to clean.

The test results were very clear: speed is not a strength of Fissler. The Original-Profi collection heated the slowest, followed by Demeyere, Fissler M5, and then the All-Clad collections.

performance tested it Best High-End Cookware? Fissler vs. All-Clad vs. Demeyere

Cites even heating, heat control, heating speed

Most have around a 50° gap. Fissler M5 came in second at 29°, and the difference in temperature between the center and edge of All-Clad and Demeyere pans ranged from 45° to 82°.
Then there's Fissler M5-Pro Ply and All-Clad, which are thinner pans that heat faster and respond quickly to temperature changes.

IKEA Sensuell has a chunky utilitarian design. It's not the most elegant looking pan, but it's built like a tank.

durability tested it I Tested Every Stainless Steel Fry Pan, These Are the Best & Worst

Cites base and rim, build quality, heat retention, warp resistance

It's the second thickest fully clad pan I tested and the fourth heaviest overall. It sits perfectly flat on the cooktop and has excellent heat retention.
Most stainless steel pans leave the aluminum core exposed around the edge and over time that aluminum can recede causing the steel layers to become sharp or even separate. This pan has sealed rims which eliminate that risk entirely.

My one complaint is the handle. It's the second shortest of any pan I tested and I don't love the rubber grip on the underside.

But the bigger issue is that it gets unusually hot. Most stainless steel pan handles only get hot in the first inch or two near the pan. But on this one, the heat travels up much further.

Heritage Steel, Taima, and the stainless steel pan all came out with noticeable scratches.
The stainless steel pan ended up with circular scratches that were deep and I could feel with my fingers.
The stainless steel pan had small dark spots starting to form, and at first I just thought this might be mineral buildup, so I cleaned it with vinegar and Bar Keepers Friend. But the spots didn't come off. They hadn't corroded through the surface yet, but it was the beginning of pitting.
After the second and third rounds, more spots appeared on the stainless steel pan. And when I zoomed in, I could see that they were actually starting to eat into the steel. When I rubbed them with my fingernail, I could feel the indentation.

It's non-toxic, super durable, and honestly, if you know how to use it, it actually has better non-stick properties than a non-stick pan.

It's non-toxic, super durable, and honestly, if you know how to use it, it actually has better non-stick properties than a non-stick pan.
Cleaning stainless steel is actually easier than you think. First, wait until the pan cools down. Sticking a hot pan in cold water causes it to warp. You never want to do that. Once the pan is warm, but not scolding hot, add some water. Let it sit for a minute, then scrub with baking soda or barkeeper's friend for…
