All-Clad stainless pan vs Demeyere Industry

The All-Clad stainless pan and the Demeyere Industry, shown the same way from the same evidence rules. There is no verdict at the bottom. The axes below are separate measurements and the objections are listed in full for both.

All-Clad stainless pan

100 quoted claims about the All-Clad stainless pan from 10 voices.

Domain authority

10 recommenders, weighted by demonstrated expertise in stainless steel cookware. Weighted by expertise in this category, never by audience size.

Independent consensus

10 independent voices across 22 sources. How many independent voices converge, unweighted.

Long-term ownership

1 dated ownership report, median 12 months. Volume and length of dated first-hand ownership reports.

Performance

78 performance claims. Claims about how well it does the job.

Value

14 claims about price relative to what it does. Claims about what it costs relative to what it does.

Repairability

no repairability claims yet. Claims about whether it can be maintained or rebuilt.

Community breadth

3 distinct communities. How many distinct communities converge, rather than one echo chamber.

Recency of evidence

most recent evidence from 2026. How recent the evidence is. Old evidence is not wrong, just older.

Objections raised

29 negative claims, mostly performance and value. How much complaint is on the record. A high figure means the drawbacks have been stated and quoted, not that the thing is worse.

These are separate measurements, not components of a score. They are never added together, and there is no overall rating, because which of them matters depends on what you are buying the thing for. An axis that says no evidence means nobody has spoken about it, not that the answer is low.

lastly number four they're oven proof you want to be able to sear something and then finish the cook in the oven
it is low fuss low maintenance I can use whatever utensils I want in this pan one of the things that makes this different from say a cast iron pan you wash it you don't have to worry about soap and I don't have to worry about seasoning it
the even heat distribution just allows you to get a sear from edge to edge as long as all of the bottom of the pan is touching the element I've never ever had problems with it really really great heat conductor
I can still cook things in it almost as if it was a non-stick pan

what this illustrates is that the d3 has good heat conductivity that aluminum core spreads the heat really well here you can see that the okra is sizzling and frying edge to edge
the 12 inch model easily holds four boneless pork chops you could probably get a fifth in there if you wanted to and you see that the pan produces nice even browning
these stainless steel d3 actually produce nice non-stick bacon the way you get non-stick bacon in stainless steel is simply to start the bacon off in a cold pan give it an early flip and then cook it as normal and it's non-stick
i note that these two steaks are over a pound each and they fit in this 12 inch d3 nicely and the pan maintained a sear i give those a good two minutes or so on the first side look at that crust that's a very nice crust

Second, D5 is more forgiving. If you turn the heat up too high, it takes a little longer to react. The same goes for when you turn the heat down. This may sound like a negative but it gives you some leeway while you're cooking.

The handle is the most polarizing of any pan I tested. It has a concave groove on top that locks the pan in place so it won't rotate. And it works really well if you grab the handle with a towel or oven mitt, but since the groove is so deep, the edges can dig into your hand and make it very uncomfortable.
