HexClad Hybrid
And they're remarkably non-stick. Sloppy Joe's slide right off. Scrambled eggs slide off. hamburger, chicken, anything we have put on it over the last 18 months easily slides right off.

Cites ease of cleaning, non-stick surface
Getting back to the non-stick surface, another added benefit is how easy they are to clean. I don't think anything can provide more proof about their ease of cleaning than their still like new appearance 18 months after their first use.
This is me opening them in December of 2023. And to get right to the point, it's held up remarkably well. These pans that we purchased 18 months ago still look brand new.

but for me I don't want to have to replace my pots and pans every 18 to 20 months because the non-stick coating is wearing off on them so I won't be using these anymore I'm going to be switching to like a stainless steel all clad type of pot and pan and I'm not really sure what brand to buy yet
so after all of that I have decided that hexclad pans are not right for me and therefore I don't recommend them on my channel anymore
So, the question remains, is HexClad the right pan or pot for you? If you want nonstick with the ability to use metal utensils, this fits the bill. The lifetime warranty is wonderful as long as they make it easy to fix something when it truly has gone bad. I've enjoyed having HexClad as our main pot and pan set here…

I didn't touch the pan for about a minute, and then I grabbed my ThermoWorks silicone to see if I could get the egg up without breaking it. Turns out I could, and I was able to flip and finish this over medium egg in the HexClad without it sticking.

Cites ease of cleaning, even heating, induction compatible, non-stick surface, oven safe, searing and crust, size and capacity, stovetop compatibility
I wanted to test if HexClad could pan sear, so we set the Breville to 325° and placed the HexClad 8-in pan. I put down some butter, a bit of neutral oil, salted the top of a bone-in chicken thigh and let it go for 7 minutes. Here's what our chicken looked like at the flip. Lovely golden brown, just the kind of sear I…
Luckily, since we've been using these pans at home for 18 months, I have a clip of the pan in the oven showing that they're oven safe and can go from range to oven without any trouble.
After the chicken pan sear test, it's a great time to test how easy these pans are to clean. I started by simply rinsing it under cold water and here's what didn't come off with just cold water. To finish things up, I grabbed my Grill Rescue Forever Sponge with a little bit of Dawn dish soap, scrubbed for 15 seconds…
To further torture test the HexClad pan for cleaning, I grabbed a piece of American cheese out of the fridge and let it go for 4 minutes at 350°. I turned the Breville off, grabbed the ThermoWorks turner, and the cheese came right off. I don't think it's something any of us do with frequency at home, but I thought it…
we don't need any oil or butter down first. It's just batter straight into the pan with an easy flip after 60 seconds. I can fit about three 4-in pancakes into the 12-in pan comfortably, and there's room to turn them without making a mess.
I wanted to test the evenness of the pan when it's heating up. So, I took our FLIR camera and snagged a video of how the pan looks under thermal imaging. Before the sear test with the chicken thigh, I checked the pan with the camera and here's what it looks like on thermal. It's what I would expect, even heating…
When I first got my HexClad, I was cooking on gas and that's been no problem.
So, for those of you wondering, yes, these do work on induction burners. They have a stainless steel exterior and an aluminum core, which makes them compatible with induction technology.
If you're in the market for new cookware, I don't think you'll be disappointed with Hexclad. We haven't been.
and in fact the 8 in pan that I always use to cook my eggs in you can see here hopefully um it's missing this is where it's the non-stick coating really started to scrape off and right there my eggs stick there all the time and it's very hard to kind of avoid that section when you're cooking cooking eggs in an 8 in…

and I kind of forgot about it until about the beginning of this past November November 2023 when I noticed that my 8 in and the 10-in and the 12-in and even the walk in some places and we barely ever used the walk was actually missing the non-stick Coating in some pretty big large areas and the walk we very seldom…

this Pan the 12in has definitely food sticks to this more than it does the 10-in and I probably use the 10-in more
I once thought that this was a really great purchase so I kind of feel let down even though they did Supply new ones with their warranty uh but I don't want to have to go through the hassle of having to get new pots and pans every 18 months for a a pot and pan that they claim should last well they say cooking lifetime…
Another thing I really like about HexClad is its versatility. It cooks more like non-stick cookware but since the surface isn’t completely smooth, it grips food and sears meat better than most traditional non-stick pans.

Cites durability, ease of cleaning, even heating, heat control, heat retention, heating speed, non-stick surface, searing and crust, versatility
I’ve used it to cook crispy bacon, brown and roast chicken, and fry chicken cutlets, and it performs similar to stainless steel. It heats up quickly, maintains a stable temperature and delivers consistent results.
The bacon came out perfectly crispy and the chicken seared nice and even.
I had no issues with eggs sticking as long as the surface was greased with plenty of oil or butter.
HexClad performed well, not only were the bubbles uniform across the cooking surface which indicates even heating, but it was one of the fastest pans to boil the water.
As you can see in the results, HexClad’s heat retention is above average and better than brands like Calphalon, Hestan, and All-Clad.
Another benefit I want to highlight is how easy Hexclad is to clean. It cleans up like a typical non-stick pan. Unless you really scorch it, a quick rinse with soap and water will do the trick.
releases food better than stainless steel.

but I have been able to chip off the nonstick coating in two very small places. I had to look pretty hard to find these, but it looks like my heavy metal utensil usage found a way past the stainless.

The visible flaking of the PTFE coating on this pan is really found on the top rim. During daily use, I hadn't noticed this until inspecting closely for this video, but in quite a few places, the top row of nonstick is missing. It blends in with the stainless top rim, and I'm guessing that's why I didn't notice it…
Will they eventually fail and need replaced under warranty? In my experience, I think so.
HexClad says that these pans are dishwasher safe, and let's be honest, that's what we all really want to hear, right? After working a full day, coming home to fix dinner, and then not having a butler or maid to do the dishes is the worst. I know we throw our pans in the dishwasher a few times a week, and I'm going to…

Cites coating durability, durability, scratch resistance, warp resistance
The bottom of the pan is flat and hasn't warped
These are my results with heavy use, but I didn't intentionally abuse it to see if I could get it to fail. Just regular old use, and it has largely stood up to what we threw at it.
HexClad also says that these pans are metal utensil safe, and other than the two very small nicks I have in my 12-in pan here, I can't see any other signs of metal utensils doing any damage. I also can't absolutely verify that it was metal utensils that caused this damage since family members from all over the country…

obviously it does affect the performance because everything sticks to that section
If you’re looking for a pan that releases food and cleans easier than stainless steel but lasts much longer than traditional non-stick, you’ll love these pans. its unique hexagonal design allows you to use metal utensils without scratching the non-stick coating.
One thing to note about HexClad pans is that the handles are rounded, and when I go to pour food out from the pan to a plate or serving dish, I often have the pan want to rotate in my hand if I'm not using something grippy to hold it. If you’re looking for a true non-stick pan to cook eggs with little oil, or a stainless steel pan that you can use to broil and cook at extremely high temperatures, you’ll be disappointed with HexClad.

And they confirmed that “The pans are designed to be concave out of the box. As heat is added to the pan, it flattens out. If the pan was created flat from the start, it would end up becoming convex.” And they were right, after the first or second time using the pan, the bottom flattened out.

Right when I opened the package, I noticed the cooking surface wasn’t completely flat. Instead, it curved upwards in the center. I was surprised to see this because fully-clad steel pans like these typically don’t warp.

HexClad handles are relatively short. The handle on the 12-inch fry pan is 8 inches long. For comparison, All-Clad Non-Stick handles are 9 inches. Your hand will be a bit closer to the heat, and while the end of the handle stays cool on the stove, it starts to get hot about 2 inches past where the handle forks.

but I’ve noticed my hand slipping several times as I slid food onto a plate.
If your hands are greasy or wet, or you’re holding a towel or pot holder, there’s a high risk that the handle will rotate. The round handles work fine for most cooking, but you’ll need to be extra careful when tilting the pan.
But if you look at the fine print, it seems as though the warranty only covers manufacturer defects. In other words, if the pan arrives damaged, you can get a new one for free.

HexClad describes their warranty as a performance warranty, which when translated means if there's a problem that affects the performance of your pot or pan, it's covered according to HexClad. Maybe they've already baked that into the cost we're paying up front, and that's expected, but I wouldn't purchase a HexClad…

the telltale sign that it's been used a bunch is the dingy residue that's on the top of the pan sidewall. My wife and I have been happy with the sevenpiece purchase we did a while back. As you can see, it included three pans, a lid, and a walk.

so now I first ordered my six-piece set the 8 10 12 in hybrid pans they call it and it they come with lids so they're six pieces and I also got the walk along with it I think they were running a special on February 17th 2022 so almost 2 years ago at the time of recording this video
