this is my favorite pan ever.
Saucepans, according to chefs
Only claims about saucepans made by people we have grounds to call chefs. The unrestricted saucepans evidence is on the saucepans page.
chefs is an occupation.
3 people on record as chefs make 10 quoted claims about saucepans across 4 sources. Membership is recorded with its own evidence — for a person by the trait they are on record holding, for a community by the source it was said in — and authority is scoped to saucepans rather than to fame.
What do chefs say about saucepans in general?
Not a recommendation for a specific product: technique, materials and what to look for in saucepans. Citable on its own terms.
the secret behind a great saucepan is the heavier the bottom the more heat it will conduct the thinner the bottom the more chance you've got actually burning your food
Cites base and rim, heat conduction
buy the best SAU buns you can afford take good care of them and they'll last you years saving you money in the long run
Cites durability, price
you don't need a collection of 10 all you need really is two a mediumsized one followed by a large one
Cites heating speed, lid
and always get a lid which helps heat the pan up as quickly as possible
this is a nice medium sized sauce pot it is eight inches in diameter it's fantastic if you want to make smaller soups obviously sauces work great or it's also a great pan if you want to reheat foods in there it's fantastic
Cites versatility
Because it does everything from searing to braising to making stock, making sauces. It does every possible thing. If you get the 5-quart size, it's a very versatile pan that's somehow both in between a pot and in between a skillet. It does what a pot can do, it does what a skillet can do in one.
Cites versatility
a small pan is great for sources heating liquids or rice whereas your large pan gives you space perfect for pastas stews or when you're cooking in bulk which keeps cost down
Cites size and capacity
you have two pot options. The 2-qt sauce pot and the four or six quart sauce pot. These are my two most used pots by far for sauces, boiling things quickly, etc., etc.
there will be moments that you are going to need to make a small batch of sauce that you're going to need to melt butter that you're going to need to make a quick r or a small batch of cheese sauce this will serve its purpose it also works for frying a really small item like maybe if you're frying some herbs that you…
So, anything that needs to boil to cook goes in here, and then sauces that need to be made, or things that need to be melted, go in here.
